30 Minute Presentation:

Using Sensorimotor Psychotherapy to Successfully Identify & Heal Unresolved Trauma

Presented by:
Mason Sommers, Ph.D.

Does it ever feel like healing from past trauma through traditional therapy is incomplete? Learn to tap into the wisdom of the body to help your clients heal from trauma using Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. Discover how the body holds past trauma, and how it also provides inroads into what clients need in order to recover and move on, even if the trauma occurred decades ago.  Find out what to do and where to start with simple relational mindfulness interventions that will help your clients draw upon the intelligence of their bodies.

Mason Sommers, Ph.D. Licensed Psychologist, is in private practice in Beverly Hills and specializes in working with couples and adult individuals.  He is on the faculty of the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy® Institute, served on, and chaired, the Board of Directors of The Maple Counseling Center and is a volunteer faculty member in the department of psychiatry at the David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA.
