June Salin and Dr. Monique Garcia

Manadoob is an inquiry-based, social, and emotional learning system that guides each child to design a life of self-esteem, empathy, and creative expression. Through the use of story, craft and individualized interpretation, the characters — both human and animal — celebrate diversity and inclusion instilling a sense of belonging in all children while creating a non-threatening environment in which they can share and explore.

About June Salin

Moving from advertising agency experience to the University of Southern California guiding their involvement in film and television, June concurrently earned her master’s degree in mass communications and then started Salin Associates providing global production resources for international commercial and film production. After creating the documentary “Kids & Animals-A Healing Partnership,” the vision for creating Manadoob, a learning system devoted to nourishing self-empowerment and self-esteem in children became clear. She is also the Founder and President of the nonprofit Prepare Kids for Life.

About Dr. Monique Garcia

Dr. Monique Garcia is a lifelong resident of Oxnard, California. Monique has always had a passion for mental and behavioral health, she pursued her education studying Sociology, Psychology, and Theology in which she holds her Doctorate Degree. Her most recent accolade was being named California Assembly Woman of the Year and the CA Rotary Paul Harris Recipient. Monique, serves as a Unit Director for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme.
