Self-Care on the Licensure Journey

Joel McLafferty, LMFT

Self-Care on the Licensure Journey will be an interactive discussion about the many sources of stress that impact trainees and associates on their path to licensure. The conversation will go over how to incorporate self-care to address and mitigate these anxieties at their origin.

Joel McLafferty, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder and Executive Director of the Westmont Counseling Center. He previously worked for several community mental health clinics, including Open Paths Counseling Center where he was the Clinical Director. He was an Adjunct Professor at Antioch University Los Angeles and has served as President of the Group Psychotherapy Association of Los Angeles.
