An introduction to the Jungian based method of Sandplay therapy
The two consecutive workshops are an introduction to the Jungian based method of Sandplay® therapy
Participants will be given an opportunity to experience the power of the symbols and the effects of a non-verbal way of working with the psyche. The workshops offer a glimpse of the rich possibilities this method offers. Information will be provided about opportunities to seek further training for those participants who are intrigued by the therapeutic possibilities provided by Sandplay®.
In this two part workshop you will:
Gain a basic understanding of:
Sandplay® history, method, and underlying theory
Experience the power of working with the sand and figures through experiential exercises
Watch the unfolding of a Sandplay® process through a case presentation
Learn about opportunities for Sandplay® training

Marion Anderson
is a certified teaching member
of
the Sandplay® Therapists of America (STA) and The International Society of Sandplay® Therapists (ISST), an experienced clinical psychologist and certified Jungian Analyst (SBPA/IAAP), who worked and taught in Brazil for over 13 years. She is presently completing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology in California. She works as a psychological assistant in private practice in Los Angeles, teaches Sandplay® at the UCSD Extension in San Diego and gives courses at the C.G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles.

Debbie Mego
has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology
and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has used Sandplay® in her private practice for over 20 years and is a certified teaching member of Sandplay® Therapists of America (STA) and the International Society for Sandplay® Therapy (ISST). Debbie is currently in private practice in Pacific Palisades where she offers Sandplay supervision and works with adults, specializing in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, cross-cultural issues and life transitions. Debbie has a background as a classical pianist and also works with people in the arts, using Sandplay® as a tool in helping overcome creative blocks.
